Read all about it. This is where you'll find information about things that Big Island DU and DU National are working on. Read about past events and we'll even try to do atleast a semi-annual news letter. 
Well we made it through the Bootcamp with flying colors for a first year event. I want to thank all the volunteers and vendors that put alot of hardwork into the event. Everyone seemed to have had a good time and learned alittle bit of something in the process. We had a decent turnout of approximatly 350 attendees, not the huge crowd we would have liked so see but it was our first attempt. We will be bigger and better next time. We have already started looking at next years event. We are currently talking with some renowned waterfowl companies about being headlining sponsors. We are also considering moving the date to August and incorporating a calling contest and retreiver competitions.
Cardinal Center did a wonderful job, even with the construction that was going on. I hope they are looking forward to having us back next year. The location is perfect and there is plenty room for the event to grow.
With the bootcamp behind us and early goose season in the near future it will soon be time to turn our attention to the fields and marshes. Before long it will be Big Island Baquet time, February 17, 2007 to be exact.
